According to the Canadian Embassy in Turkey, Canadian visas are issued to Turkish citizens for various purposes such as tourism, study, work, and family reunification. However, the application process can be complex and time-consuming, which is why it's essential to understand the requirements and the necessary steps.

Types of Visas

There are several types of visas available for Turkish citizens, depending on your purpose for visiting Canada:

Visitor visa: This allows you to enter Canada for tourism, visiting family or friends, or business purposes. You may remain in Canada for up to six months.

Study visa: If you're accepted to a Canadian university or college, you'll need to apply for a study visa. This visa has specific requirements, such as proof of acceptance from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI).

Work visa: If you've secured a job in Canada, you'll need a work visa. Your employer must obtain a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) from Employment and Social Development Canada.

Turkish citizens can also apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization, also known as eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization), if their travel plans include airline travel to or through Canada. However, an eTA is not a visa. The eTA costs CA$7 and is valid for multiple entries for a period of two years until the expiry date of the traveler's passport.
